loveathousandyearsgone: (Dream a dream)

Pretty straight forward. You have an idea you want to play out with Elrond, throw up a starter or plotting comment and we'll go from there.

Haven't threaded with me before but want to try something different than how you found this journal? That's fine too! I'm always open to new RP partners.

If you have questions, feel free to shoot me a PM if you're more comfortable that way.

She knows her father and her mother walk freely, bound as close as ever under the trees of Aman. She knows too that her son, her granddaughter and her grandson-in-law are present. There are even two young twins, though she does not see them often as they are in need of much healing. Lúthien could call upon them all and she knows they would welcome her.

Yet he is not present and without him, she feels as if she is only half of herself. Each day she appeals to the Valar to let him be reborn - has he not earned it? - but they urge her to be patient. So patient she will be - patient and scarce.

"It is I who cannot give them what they deserve." so it is best that they think her passed on to another place with her Beren, "You are not like me and that brings me unmatched joy."

He has a strength - a perseverance - that she feels she lacks. Once she set her sight and her heart on Beren, she simply could not bear a world without him. Lúthien had only lingered long enough to ensure Dior was prepared for what was to come - for he is part of her heart too. But the passing between life and death is a journey she knows better than most - and, for Beren, it is a journey she must make.

The Valar have interrupted said journey and returned the body and attributes of the Elves and Maiar to her. She should be grateful, but it is not enough.

"They fare well enough. I watch." and sing to them to ease their worries and fears. She freezes at his keen insight, grey eyes wide in wonder. He is a bright star indeed!

Lowering the hood of her cloak, she lets her bountiful dark hair spill free. Then she turns to face him at long last, tender longing written on her features.

"She has recovered. I have encouraged her to slumber beneath the trees. My mother is kind to ailing spirits."
