The offer of a hand from a stranger still gets to her, a punch to some place under her ribs. This is even more than that. Such trust is practically earthshaking for her. And indeed, her hand trembles a bit as she places it in his.
"May the gods of your people strike me down should I ever bring you to harm, my lord."

"Perhaps they guided your steps here. I think they would not do you harm now." If they did, he'd be less than pleased. He showed her where to hold on, then nudged his mount into an easy lope, leading the way through the forest.

"You would know better than I, sir." It's the most polite thing she could say. Because the idea that maybe the gods of Arda had been influencing the day's events was a bit unsettling for her, considering what Maglor has told her if his past. What if their survival had been because of a plan thwarted, rather than fulfilled? It's best she not speculate aloud. These were not her lands to be going around denouncing the deities.
